Welcome to Cheshunt Minor Injuries Unit

Using the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU)

Cheshunt MIU is open every day from 8am to 8pm. You do not have to be registered with a GP to receive treatment. We offer a walk-in service for people who have minor injuries. Last patient registration is 7:30pm.

We cannot treat any children under the age of one year.

The MIU has full wheelchair access. If you require any assistance with access while you are here, please make our receptionist aware.

You are welcome to bring someone with you. However, our waiting area has limited capacity. Due to the current Covid situation only the patient is able to enter the MIU unless they are with a child or vulnerable adult.

We can treat

  • Suspected fractured (broken) bones
  • Muscle and joint injuries (sprains and strains)
  • Minor burns and scalds
  • Bites and stings
  • Cuts and grazes
  • Minor eye injuries
  • Minor head injuries
  • Removal of foreign bodies from the ears or nose
